Responsibilities of Graduate Trainee at Calix
- Work with threat researchers and security engineers to study network attacks.
- Perform packet analysis using tools like Wireshark, Zeek, tcpdump.
- Help in writing and testing detection signatures for IDS/IPS systems.
- Take part in developing internal automation tools in Python.
- Research about emerging threats, malware delivery methods, and IoCs.
- Assist in preparing documentation, reports, and playbooks.
- Support in building simulated cyber attack scenarios for testing detection.
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Graduate or final-year student of BE / BTech (2024 or 2025) in Computer Science, IT, Networking, or Cyber Security.
- Knowledge of Computer Networking, TCP/IP, OSI Model, Intrusion Detection Systems.
- Understanding of Cyber Threat Intelligence, MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Programming in Python and interest in automation.
- Comfortable using Linux and Windows OS.
- Experience with tools like Wireshark, Suricata, Snort is a plus.
- Good communication and attention to detail.
